DHCP Migration
This article explains steps to migrate DHCP from windows 2003 to windows 2008 R2
1) Install DHCP role on windows 2008 R2 server (Target server where you want to migrate DHCP)
2) Go to Windows 2003 server ( Source server) and run below command to export DHCP data
3) Copy exported file from source server to target server
4) Import all data on target server by running below command
5) After importing all data verify the scops and reservations at target server
6) Authorize new DHCP server
7) Stop DHCP service on source server

netsh dhcp server export "file name" all
|
4) Import all data on target server by running below command
netsh dhcp server import "file name" all
|
6) Authorize new DHCP server
7) Stop DHCP service on source server
